GALLERY FOR FLOCK PROJECT AT LEWISHAM ARTHOUSE

Making a murmuration

Making a murmuration

The Summer months 2019 were spent finishing, glazing and firing the 100+ ceramic birds made in the first half of the year. In September we unveiled the installation of Flock Project in the minimal and evocative setting of The Project Space at Lewisham Arthouse, London.

Fittingly the building used to be a library, gifted to Lewisham by Andrew Carnegie, the Scottish philanthropist who made his fortune in the United States after arriving as a poverty stricken immigrant at age 13.

The exhibition was the culmination of many converstions and workshops and provided the first of many opportunities to exhibit everybodys birds together as one group. The general public were invited to view the installation for a fortnight and their comments and contributions are now part of the project.
